Very sad news to report
A man has died after he was hit by a train at a crossing in Long Eaton. He was struck at the Meadow Lane crossing on the line between Nottingham and East Midlands Parkway stations yesterday morning, September 28.
Now British Transport Police confirmed in a statement today that he died after police were initially called to the tracks after reports of a casualty at 9.36am, reports Derbyshire Live.Witnesses reported that the incident occurred at the at the Meadow Lane crossing. BTS has also confirmed that the incident is not being treated as suspicious by officers and is being prepared for consideration by the regional coroner.
