Shop staff were praised for their 'tremendous bravery'
A man has been jailed for assaulting a shop worker at a Glasgow train station in an incident that left staff"traumatised".
Workers made attempts to calm him, but he then barged his way behind the counter brandishing a knife and trapping a member of staff behind the counter with him. British Transport Police officers arrived at the scene and detained the 35-year-old who was then arrested and charged with assault and robbery.
BTP Det Con Finlay Bruce said: “This was an extremely frightening and traumatising incident for the staff involved.
