🔴 Man dead and eight in hospital as blaze breaks out in Bristol tower block ➡️ Police said a full investigation into the incident would be carried out
Emergency services were called to the blaze on the top floor of Twinnell House on Wills Drive in Easton shortly after 2.15am.Police confirmed that one man died in the incident; officers have informed his next of kin., one with minor burns, seven suffering from smoke inhalation.
Mohammed Ahmed, who has lived in the block for ten years, told the BBC: “I woke up and checked the window and saw someone shouting ‘there’s a fire, fire’, then I had to come out quickly.Superintendent Tony Blatchford, of Avon and Somerset Police, said a full investigation into the incident would be carried out. He said: “This is a tragic incident in which a man has lost his life.”
