The victim was stabbed multiple times in the face, hands and back
The victim, in his 20s, is believed to have been attacked on Hinton Street, in Fairfield. He suffered serious injuries after being stabbed in the face, hands and back.
After being attacked he stumbled to a nearby McDonald's, on Kensington, around a four minute walk away. Emergency services were then made aware of the stabbing and the victim was taken to hospital, where he remains in a serious but stable condition.Detective Inspector Katie Coote said: "We are in the early stages of an investigation as we establish the circumstances of what happened.
"We are appealing for anyone with information to come forward so we can find the person responsible. If you live in the area and have CCTV footage, please let us know. If you were driving in the area and have dashcam footage, again please let us know as it could prove vital to our ongoing enquiries."
