Manchester City secured their first trophy of the season with a penalty shootout win over Sevilla in the UEFA Super Cup final.
They managed to do just that when Rodri clipped a ball into the box from the corner of the penalty area and found Palmer who headed home from close range. The England under-21 star became the first player since Michael Owen in 2001 to score in both the Community Shield and the UEFA Super Cup, giving him the perfect start to a big season in his career.
