Matheus Nunes has gone on strike to try and force through a move from Wolves to Manchester City, talkSPORT understands.Nunes is determined to leave WolvesWolves are demanding at least £60million to sell Nunes having rejected City's opening offer of £47m last week.
Nunes played no part in Wolves' 1-0 victory at Everton last weekend having picked up a red card in their previous outing, a 4-0 defeat at home to Brighton.Should the move fail to go through it's likely the player will face disciplinary action from Wolves.He joined Wolves from Sporting Lisbon in a £42million deal, signing a five-year contract with an option to a further 12 months.
City, who enjoyed a treble-winning season last term, and are looking to strengthen their squad as they begin their defence of the league, FA Cup and Champions League titles. Midfield has become a priority area for City with Kevin De Bruyne out for up to four months after picking up a hamstring injury earlier this month.
