Manchester City have been linked with the Brazilian but could be about to be handed a potential transfer setback.
Newcastle are reportedly advancing contract talks with midfielder Bruno Guimaraes after being unable to previously come to a renewal agreement amid supposed interest from Manchester City.
And 90min claim Newcastle are set to re-enter talks over a new deal having turned down enquiries from a number of European big-hitters. The Magpies couldn’t agree terms with Guimaraes towards the end of last year so paused attempts, it adds.
