Begiristain explains why City sanctioned Laporte exit City Director of Football Txiki Begiristain has confirmed that the club made the decision to sell Aymeric Laporte because they could not promise him the game time he wanted. The Spanish international completed his exit from the club this afternoon, joining Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr.
Explaining why he has left the club, Begiristain said: "Aymeric has been an excellent player for Manchester City during a great time for the club. Olmo, 25, has made a blistering start to the new campaign in Germany, scoring four goals in Leipzig's first two outings this season, featuring a hat-trick against Bayern Munich in the DFL-Supercup.
