He's been charged
David Bankier, from Skelmersdale, has been charged with nine offences. The 47-year-old was arrested on Tuesday July 4.
In a post on Facebook, Skelmersdale Police confirmed Bankier had appeared at Preston Magistrates' Court on Thursday July 6. He was remanded into custody.Police said: "A man from Skelmersdale has been charged with nine sexual offences. Our officers arrested David Bankier, 47, on Tuesday, July 4. "After consultations with the Crown Prosecution Service, we charged Bankier with seven offences of rape and two offences of sexual assault. He appeared before Preston Magistrates Court yesterday and was remanded in custody."
