Tyrone James has appeared in Nottingham Magistrates' Court
A man has appeared in court charged with attempted murder after a man was stabbed outside a Kirkby in Ashfield pub. Tyrone James, 40, of Skegby Road in Kirkby in Ashfield, has been charged with attempted murder, possession of an offensive weapon in a public place and assault by beating.
He appeared at Nottingham Magistrates' Court on Tuesday and has been remanded into custody. He is next due to appear in court on November 21.The incident was reported to police just before 1am on Sunday , with a 27-year-old man being left in critical condition. It took place outside The Nags Head pub in Station Street and the victim was taken to the Queen's Medical Centre.
His condition is now described as critical but stable. Anyone with information about the incident can still call 101 quoting incident number 0045 of 22 October 2023 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
