Patrik Tokar, 18, is due to appear in court on Saturday morning
A teenager has been charged with attempted murder following a knife attack in Bury that left a man with serious injuries. Patrik Tokar, 18, of Seymour Court, Radcliffe, is due to appear before Manchester magistrates court this morning .
It comes after a 44-year-old man was stabbed in the neck and back in Radcliffe earlier this week. Police were called to Haworth Walk just before midnight on Tuesday.Tokar, who was arrested on Wednesday, has also been charged with possession of offensive weapon in a public place. The victim has since been discharged from hospital.
Speaking earlier this week Det Insp Kenneth Blain, of GMP's Bury district, said: "Firstly, our thoughts are with the victim and his loved ones at this difficult time, and we will continue to support him and his loved ones throughout our enquiries and the investigation. "I know this incident will likely come as a shock to those in the local community of Radcliffe and the wider Bury community. We are working around the clock to ensure that we secure justice for the victim of this horrific attack."
