A man has been banned from 'approaching any lone females' after a number of incidents on canal towpaths in Wigan.
Police have not revealed full details but said the offences can leave 'lone women feeling vulnerable' while walking along the canal. The man, who has since been bailed, is now banned from going on any canal towpath and approaching any female on her own.An investigation remains ongoing. Locals in the area have been told to contact police with any information, with officers urging people not to report incidents on social media.
