A shocking crime
A man has been jailed after attacking a woman in Wollaton with a weightlifting bar. On February 10, Nottinghamshire Police officers were called to a property where a woman was left injured after being attacked following a row.
Officers arrived at the scene after being called to the property at around 11pm and found the victim injured. The offender had earlier fled but was arrested and later charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm.Mahroof, now of Balaclava Road, Derby, was jailed for 36 weeks when he appeared at Nottingham Crown Court for sentencing on December 7.
