The man was due to appear at Ayr Sheriff Court yesterday (Monday).
Specialist drug cops raided a property in the town's James Street, and recovered a quantity of the Class A drug with an estimated street value in excess of £14,000.
A 38-year-old man has been arrested and charged with drug offences to appear at Ayr Sheriff Court yesterday . Chief Inspector Kevin Lammie said: "We are committed to targeting the illegal supply of drugs in our communities." "We rely on members of the public to provide us with information, and any information we receive will be taken seriously and acted upon.
