A large police presence was spotted near Hawkhead House Farm on Wednesday afternoon, with a man in his sixties now having appeared in court in connection.
A man has appeared in court charged with attempted murder after a 12-year-old boy was struck by a car in Paisley.
The incident took place at around 2pm on Ben Alder Drive near Hawkhead House Farm in the town on Wednesday, October 12. The boy was rushed to hospital with serious injuries following the collision.Emergency services, including Police Scotland and Scottish Ambulance Service, swooped on the scene to erect a cordon around the area and launch an investigation into the event.
Photos taken at the scene showed specialist officers and forensic officers in white suits combing the site as they tried to piece together exactly what had happened. Top news stories today William Stewart appeared at Paisley Sheriff Court today, where he made no plea. Stewart, of Paisley, was also charged with assault to severe injury and danger of life.
