Emergency services were called to Garrowhill railway station after the alarm was raised on Sunday evening. The man remains in a serious condition.
A police spokesperson said:"Officers were called to Garrowhill station shortly before 7.30pm on 2 July following reports of two casualties on the tracks.
"Officers attended and two people - an adult man and a two-year-old child - were taken to hospital where they both remain."The child's injuries are not currently believed to be life-threatening, and the man remains in a serious condition. "Detectives are investigating the full circumstances of the incident and believe there were a number of people on the platform at the time who may have witnessed what happened.Related Topics
