A man from Nottingham has pleaded guilty to an immigration charge relating to arranging travel by small boat illegal entry to the UK of migrants. Klodian Shenaj, 49, of Broxtowe Street, Sherwood, admitted facilitating the commission of a breach or attempted breach of immigration law.
The offence took place between September 21, 2022, and November 4, 2022. Nottingham Crown Court heard this week the charge relates to arranging travel by a small boat - the Aquaholic. His case was listed for trial on Monday but did not go ahead as he pleaded guilty to the alternative charge above. Desmond Rice, 47, of Meadowcroft, Aylesbury, pleaded guilty to a different allegation - facilitating the commission of a breach or attempted breach of immigration law.His charge concerns the same dates and involved illegal immigrants where travel was arranged by the Aquaholic. Two more men have pleaded guilty to immigration charges.
Banet Tershana, 51, of Harmsworth Crescent, Hove, admitted he conspired together with others to facilitate the commission of a breach or attempted breach of immigration law by arranging travel for illegal immigrants by small boats to the UK. Jetmir Myrtaj, 44, formerly of Leicester, admitted arranging travel by small boats of illegal immigrants. The case against all four was adjourned to a date to be decided. The arrests were made as part of an investigation led by National Crime Agency.
