Kallum Radford denies assisting an offender while five men have pleaded not guilty to 28-year-old's murder
A man accused of helping Ashley Dale's 'killers' told detectives he "hoped they would get justice" for her.
Having handed himself in at Copy Lane Police Station on October 11 last year, he was initially interviewed the same day. During a second round of questioning on October 12, Radford was asked about a taxi journey which was booked from his then home on Redgate Drive in St Helens on the afternoon of August 21 2022 to Woodlands Road in Roby, Peers' mum's address."You’re trying to trip me up with the questions. I’m telling the truth.
Paul Greaney KC told a jury of five men and seven women during the prosecution's opening earlier this month that Witham and "driver" Peers, were "dispatched" to assassinate Harrison and "leave no witnesses". They had allegedly received their orders from Niall Barry, Sean Zeisz and Ian Fitzgibbon - who were said to have been "directing operations" from a flat on Pilch Lane in Huyton.
"This time, they were not to be diverted from their intention to kill. One of the men approached the front door of 40 Leinster Road and he kicked it in. Ashley plainly became aware of what was happening. She screamed and fled towards the back door of the house, but the man entered the house and he pursued her.
"Lee Harrison seems to have had an association with the group of which Dusty was part. Whilst at the festival, Sean Zeisz was assaulted and his attackers included Jordan Thompson.
