Man and woman killed while walking in crash as driver hospitalised
Thames Valley police said a silver Mercedes A170 was involved in a collision with the two in Park Lane, at the junction of Mayfair at 10.50am on Thursday.
Their next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers, said the force. The driver of the Mercedes, a man in his eighties, sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital where he remains. Investigating officer, Detective Constable Nigel Doyle, of the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, has urged the public to come forward with information.
