Police in Oldham are appealing for witnesses
A man has died after a late night collision with a car in Oldham, police have said. A 20-year-old man was arrested a 'short time later', police added, although it's not been confirmed what he was arrested on suspicion of as yet.
The tragedy is the second on Greater Manchester's roads this weekend - a 16-year-old boy was killed and two others injured after a car hit a lamp post in Audenshaw, Tameside, earlier on Saturday night. In a statement, Greater Manchester Police said: "Officers are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage after a 37-year-old man sadly lost his life. A 20-year-old was arrested a short time later after it is believed the vehicle collided with the pedestrian.
