BREAKING: Man, 21, charged with murder of PCSO Julia James
A 21-year-old man has been charged with the murder of community support officer Julia James.He was arrested on Friday and is due to appear via videolink at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday.
Detectives were granted a 36-hour extension to further question a man in his 20s arrested on Friday, lasting until Monday evening. Ms James, 53, was found dead in Akholt Wood near her home in Snowdown, Kent, on April 27 after she did not return home from walking her dog.A large police presence from several forces were seen searching a field in Aylesham on Monday.The PCSO was described as ‘fiercely loyal’ and well respected in the community
