The works will start a week today with a focus around a bridge which spans the border between North Lanarkshire and South Lanarkshire.
Major works to upgrade and reinforce the electricity network in Lanarkshire are set to get underway next week – focused around the Garrion Bridge area.

Residents, businesses and commuters in the area have been warned of potential travel delays, with signage already in place, and the advice is to take an alternative route where possible. "These essential works will do exactly that by significantly reinforcing the local electricity supply and addressing growing demand in the area.
