East Midlands Railway is facing major disruption in the Nottinghamshire area after a lightning strike hit equipment on Sunday evening .
EMR says that Network Rail has fault teams on site and is currently carrying out assessments of the equipment. It's estimated that there will be disruption for the rest of the evening.EMR says trains are currently unable to run between Beeston and Long Eaton, which will affect trains running between Newark Castle, Nottingham, Derby, and Crewe and trains running between Nottingham, Derby, and Matlock in both directions.
