'Oh my god it was amazing'
Eurovision star Mae Muller revealed the one place in Liverpool she managed to visit during the contest.
The fortnight before the contest fully kicks off is a gruelling challenge for even the most seasoned performers. In between rehearsals and press, the I Wrote A Song singer managed to sneak away and take in some of the city's delicious hospitality. Although there were a range of places this year's UK representative wanted to visit, she told the ECHO only the EuroClub and a certain restaurant managed to be ticked off her list.She said: "I went out once to the EuroClub and that's where I saw Rylan. He's a ball and I had such a great time. But there was this one place I went to for food and oh my god it was amazing.
"We went to this place called Mowgli and it had the absolute best curry around. I was obsessed. I wish I got to go to more but we were so busy." Mae returns to Liverpool on September 18 to sign fans' copies of her debut album, Sorry I'm Late. She added: "I've done shows in Liverpool before and supported Little Mix on their tour but I just love scousers. I just think that they know how to party and they're such warm, open, welcoming people. So it was really nice actually getting to spend some time there and obviously all of Eurovision. I always feel like part of the family.
