Madonna has been discharged from hospital after the star was rushed to Intensive Care
The Queen of Pop is reportedly recovering at her New York City home, but is still under supervision of medical experts. The 64 year-old was taken to hospital with a "serious bacterial infection", after she was reportedly found unconscious in her home on Saturday.
She was rushed to hospital and hooked up to a ventilator and intubated so a breathing tube was passed down her throat and into her lungs. The worrying news - which comes just two weeks before the singer was due to starty her Celebration tour - was shared by her manager Guy Oseary on Instagram. Top showbiz news Madonna's daughter Lourdes Leon remained by the Material Girl singer's side throughout the ordeal. Her family were said to be preparing for "the worst" after the "frightening and scary experience" of finding her unconscious and unresponsive.
"That is why it was kept a secret since Saturday... Everyone believed that we may lose her and that has been the reality of the situation."
