Edmond Reid - who has links to Scots cocaine kingpin Mark Richardson - was set upon in the capital’s Inch area
A machete attack on a convicted drug dealer near his home has sparked fears of a renewed gang war in Edinburgh.
The last feud between the pair saw T2 Trainspotting star Bradley Welsh gunned down outside his New Town address in 2019. Richardson is linked to the Daniels crew while the other gangland boss is associated with the Lyons clan. A brown Mitsubishi Outlander was discovered on fire in Foxglove Close, not far from Edinburgh Royal Infirmary, at around 12.10am on Monday
During Reid’s sentencing eight years ago, the High Court in Edinburgh heard how cops recovered heroin worth £45,000 and £11,000 in cannabis.
