Is this a fair assessment of Mac Jones? It's not too far off. He's not a top 10 quarterback by any means.
The Alabama product received a 74 overall rating, placing him 24th among quarterbacks. Some notable QBs rated higher than Jones include Daniel Jones , Justin Fields , Ryan Tannehill , Derek Carr , Jared Goff and Geno Smith . Panthers rookie and No. 1 overall draft pick Bryce Young has the same rating as Jones' 74 but is technically ranked a little higher based on some of the specific category ratings .
Based on these ratings, the Madden crew essentially sees Jones as the 24th-best quarterback in the league, or close to it. Is that a fair assessment of Jones? It's not too far off. He's not a top 10 quarterback by any means. A case can be made that he's somewhere in the 18 to 22 range.
