Lancashire Police said the HGV 'swerved without warning' and the driver was 'seen making a brew with no hands on the wheel'

Lancashire Road Police said the incident happened on the M6 at Forton in the early hours of today . Officers said the HGV was travelling southbound when it 'swerved from lane one to lane two without warning'.

The driver was seen 'making a brew with no hands on the wheel'. Thankfully no injuries were reported and the driver has been reported for due care offences.Lancs Road Police tweeted a picture of the HGV, saying: "This HGV travelling south on M6 Forton almost wiped out #HZ50 when it swerved from lane one to lane two without warning. The driver was seen making a brew with no hands on the wheel.
