were temporarily held on the M1 Northbound due to a crash at J24 A453 Ashby Road on Wednesday, July 5.

Traffic was stopped at 10.05am so emergency services could attend to the accident in lane four. Traffic monitoring website Inrix said: "All traffic being temporarily held and stationary traffic due to accident on M1 Northbound after J24 A453 Ashby Road ." Drivers were only halted for around 10 minute, with the lane then reopened. Some queues remained after the lane was reopened, but disruption then eased.
