People had their say about the one thing they do not like about the shops new location

Hundreds waited in queues outside Marks & Spencer this week as the department store moved into its new home on Lord Street. M&S had been in its previous home on Church Street for the last 95 years, serving generations of Merseysiders and establishing itself as a favourite on the Liverpool high street.

Reacting to the opening of the new M&S store, on Facebook Bernadette Bartram said: "Such a shame about the cafe. The old M&S was so much bigger and always very busy. I used to take my mum. Mark France said: "Nice shop. Shame about the nonexistent cafe. The demographic of M&S do not want food and drink to go. People want to chill out, talk to family and friends over a cuppa."

Wendy Chapman said: "Coffee shop is far too small. I don't know what the designers were thinking. Cafe was always very popular in the old M&S. We went there today and they could only offer takeaway
