Multiple fire crews have been called to a huge fire at a Luton Airport car park. Huge flames can be seen as passengers and onlookers watch the blaze tear through a car park at the airport terminal.
At 9.35pm on Tuesday night London Luton Airport tweeted: "Emergency services are currently responding to a car fire in Terminal Car Park 2, restricting access to the airport." An hour later, the airport issued a statement saying all flights are suspended. Access to the airport is currently restricted and people are being asked not to travel to the airport. Luton Airport shared the following on X, formerly known as Twitter : "All flights are currently suspended as emergency services respond to a fire in Terminal Car Park 2.
"Access to the airport is currently restricted and we ask that people do not travel to the airport at this time." Footage of the fire on X, shows multiple fire crews tackling the blaze as it rips through a layer of the carpark.
