‘I am leaving today to Australia to record another series of Celebrity Apprentice,’ Lord Sugar penned in an announcement shared on Twitter.Lord Sugar’s post was met with fierce criticism from those unable to travel due to tight Covid restrictions in the country. ‘Gotta say this doesn’t sit well with me!’ wrote one. ‘I’m all about being able to travel, but doing it to a country that has very strict restrictions isn’t cool. Especially for those trying to enter/leave for much more pressing reasons.’
‘Wow, the lack of awareness is stunning,’ added another. ‘So many people unable to travel for compassionate reasons and you merrily tell us how you are exempt from the rules us plebs are subject to.’Echoing a similar sentiment, a third raged: ‘Are you serious? I’m in Sydney and been refused permission to leave to visit my family in Scotland. My father died last year and I had to FaceTime the funeral and I still can’t visit my widowed mother.
