Four men were forced to go on a 'long walk back to Leeds' after police stopped a vehicle on the M1. Officers used tactics to stop the car at Chesterfield.
Derbyshire Police said that the four men were 'out for a drive' from West Yorkshire. They happened to drive by the 'skipper' who was sat at a HGV crime hotspot in South Nomanton, the force said. In their tweet, posted shortly after 11.30am, they said: "M1 - South Normanton Four lads out for a drive from West Yorkshire and happen to drive by the skipper who was sat at a HGV crime hotspot!"
They said that 'tactics' were used to stop the vehicle, adding: "Tactics used to stop the vehicle at Chesterfield after trying to give us the slip. No insurance and a long walk back to Leeds!"
