LondonBetty Spear was joined by four generations of loved ones as she opened dozens of cards and presents at St Judes Nursing Home in Sutton, south London.
Although the pandemic has meant she couldn’t see her grandchildren or great grandchildren last year, she said it was ‘nothing compared to World War One.’ She’s been through a lot, you know, because she lost her daughter.
