Mr Burns has denied any wrongdoing after allegation of groping at Tory conference, and friends have complained the disciplinary process is unfair
The former prime minister’s decision to delay suspending Mr Pincher after he allegedly groped two men at a private members’ club was widely seen as leading to his own eventual downfall.
After being fired on Friday, Mr Burns said: “I will fully co-operate with the party’s enquiry and look forward to clearing my name. I hope the party will be as quick to conduct their enquiry as they were to rush to judgement.”
