The American chain is taking over an iconic venue in Liverpool city centre
The new venue will open inside New Zealand House on Water Street, which was previously home to Newz Bar . The licence was granted for Hooters earlier this year, though it has faced much opposition.
The bar has taken to social media to announce its upcoming opening date, using a video which shows a Hooters uniform and British passport being scooped up, a staff member getting in a taxi and flying from the US to Liverpool. The city’s waterfront is shown before a ‘Hooters girl’ is seen arriving.Alongside the reel, Hooters said: “From the land of the free to the heart of Liverpool city.
“Our “Grand Opening” is 21/11/22 and our venue is at the iconic New Zealand House, Water Street, Liverpool. Hoo is coming? Hoot Hoot”. Instagram The venue has seen a huge refurbishment of New Zealand House, including a 50m hand-painted sky ceiling. The restaurant will feature high spec video walls and 80 TVs too.
According to bosses, the venue will aim to bring a “warm welcoming environment and tremendous food” to the city. The restaurant and bar will be screening big sporting events and will feature Las Vegas-style themed changing rooms for staff - ‘Hooters Girls’ - so they can be “camera ready at all times”. Hooters Liverpool will open its doors on Monday, November 21 at New Zealand House, Water Street.
