Flood alerts have been issued across Nottinghamshire
Alerts have been issued for multiple rivers in the county, including the River Maun, River Leen, Day Brook and Tottle Brook.near these rivers, and so residents are advised to prepare just in case. This includes regularly checking flood warnings and to prepare a bag that includes medicines and insurance documents.
There are no flood warnings or severe flood warnings currently in place for Nottinghamshire. According to Gov.uk river levels are forecast to rise on the River Maun at the Whitewater Bridge river gauge due to the persistent rainfall.It states: "Areas most at risk are low-lying agricultural land and roads around Mansfield, the Sherwood Forest Caravan Park at Clipstone, Edwinstowe, Ollerton, Whitewater Lane at Whitewater Bridge and West Drayton.
Areas that are most at risk include "low-lying recreational areas and roads including High School playing fields on Valley Road and other low lying land and recreational areas, low lying land and roads around the Tottle Brook." Further rainfall is forecast over the next 24 hours.
