West Yorkshire Police have closed M1 Southbound from J40 to J39
have closed M1 Southbound from J40 A638 Wakefield Road to J39 A636 Denby Dale Road following a serious crash, which has involved two cars.
It is not clear at this time if anyone has been seriously injured or how long the carriageway will be closed for. Traffic is being diverted off the motorway via an exit slip road by police.
