Police and air ambulance are currently at the scene
The ECHO understands that the incident occured at about 2pm in Hoylake Village.
A reader has told us that there is a police cordon from the entrance to Holy Trinity Primary School near to Home Bargains down to about Deneshey Road by the petrol station on the way into the village. They said police vans at either end blocking the road and traffic having to be diverted through side street and a fire engine and ambulance are at the scene. The reader added that they believe an air ambulance might have landed nearby.
