LIVE: Residents asked to leave homes in Banbridge security alert
People have been asked to leave their homes in Banbridge in Co Down due to a security alert.
Police have confirmed the alert was started as a result of a suspicious object being discovered on Saturday.No roads have been closed and police have asked the public for patience while the object is examined.which started on Friday night.Police have asked the public to avoid the area while they deal with the alert.There’s a security alert in Brookfield Avenue in Banbridge. A number of homes have been evacuated.
