In the early hours of the morning, residents in seven streets in Retford were asked to evacuate due to water levels. Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue said: "Due to the rising water level, we are advising residents in the area of Darrel Road, Swans Quay, Gala Way, Maun Close, Neden Way, New Inn Walk and Thrumpton Close in Retford to evacuate."
"Local partners are working together to provide emergency support and help where needed and are urging the public to stay safe and help keep the level of disruption to a minimum."In the latest update, Nottingham City Transport said: "South Notts 1 is not serving Stanford on Soar due to flooding. Buses are diverting via Rempstone, Hoton and Cotes. In Loughborough, buses are not serving Station Boulevard or stops inside the Station car park.
