Police have shut the part of the motorway
Motorists have been warned of long queues with a section of the M62 and M60 shut this morning.
Police have shut the full carriageway on the M62 eastbound at junction 12, on the approach to the M60 and M602. It comes after a lorry shed its load. North West Motorway Police tweeted: "Patrols are assisting @HighwaysNWEST M62 EB at J12 We have a block on the full cway on the approach to M60/M602 A lorry has shed its load so we are assisting to clear."Travel service Inrix has said: "M62 Eastbound exit slip road to M60 anticlockwise closed, queueing traffic due to shed load at J12 M60 J12 ."
And travel service MancTraffic tweeted: "M62 e/b j12 exit to both the M60 c/w & ac/w are now CLOSED. Use the M602 e/b to j2 and turn. Long queues on approach."
