Long queues are forming on the M6 this morning

Drivers are facing long delays on the M6 near Wigan this morning following a 'serious accident'.

Emergency services have rushed to the M6 northbound from J26 M58 to J27 A5209 Crow Orchard Road following what is understood to be a serious crash.Try MEN Premium for FREELancashire Police has been contacted for more information.
