LIVE: Long queues building on M62 after crash - latest updates
Two lanes have been shut off on the westbound carriageway between junction 19 for Heywood and junction 18 for the M60 and Simister Island. Queues are currently stretching back for three miles.
Congestion is back to junction 20 for Rochdale, according to traffic alert service Inrix. Lanes one and two are shut.A tweet posted by National Highways said: "The #M62 westbound between J19 and J18 , lanes 1 and 2 are closed due to a collision. "There is currently approx. 3 miles of congestion on approach, causing delays of 30 minutes above usual journey times."
