A major incident has been declared at Creswell model village
A major incident has been declared and 50 homes evacuated after a large fire has broken out in Creswell model village.Families are being told to avoid the area andand fire crews are currently attending the scene - a number of roads have been closed while the blue light services work on the incident. The incident is just over the Derbyshire border in the Bolsover district.
A Derbyshire Constabulary spokesman said: "The force is currently in attendance at a large fire in Creswell. A number of roads are currently closed in the Model Village area and around 50 properties have been evacuated. Please avoid the area at this time." A Bolsover and Clowne Safer Neighbourhoods Team spokesman said: "There is a major incident in Model Village, Creswell. Please can residents on Fox Lane, Firthwood Lane and Elmont Close evacuate your homes.
"Leave all windows and doors closed and move away from the area!!! Please can all residents in the area keep windows and doors closed. Please co-operate with any instructions from officers."
