The Academy Award and Tony Award-winning actor's death was confirmed by his sons to PEOPLE in a joint statement.
The actors most recent role was in The Kominsky Method for Netflix alongside actor Michael Douglas which led to Emmy nominations two years on the trot alongside a Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild nominations in 2020 and 2021.
