Lewis Hamilton says Mercedes have a clear concept issue to resolve for next season relating to the rear-end of their challenger.

Lewis Hamilton urges Mercedes to fix ‘100% concept’ issue after Japan qualy strugglesLewis Hamilton complained of a lack of load at the rear of the Mercedes W14, a feature which he says must be changed, pointing to McLaren as proof of what following the Red Bull route can do.

“Yesterday was a bad day,” Hamilton told Sky F1 post-qualifying. “Each weekend out of the three days there is at least one bad day. “And so we’re really a long way down on that and for me, that’s clearly concept. It’s 100% clear that’s concept and we’ve got to make sure we change that for next year, which hopefully we will.
