Levi Colwill's long-term future is at Chelsea as Blues announce new contract
Chelsea defender Levi Colwill has signed a new six-year contract with an option to a further year.
The 20-year-old is committing his future at Stamford Bridge having been subject to transfer interest from Brighton, where he spent last season on loan, and Liverpool."It’s always been an easy decision," said Colwill. "As I’ve grown up, all I’ve known is Chelsea. I’ve spoken with the manager and he’s given me reassurance, that trust I needed. He’s spoken with me not just as a player but a person. It’s made a big difference.
He said on Instagram: "To Brighton and Hove Albion. I am proud to have played a small part in the club's success last season.
