Hospital opens rehabilitation garden for patients

A rehabilitation garden has been created at a city hospital to help intensive care patients access open space and fresh air.It has been designed to allow wheelchairs and hospital beds to access the open spaces. Zoe Bradley, a senior sister on the unit, said gardens were proven to have significant mental health and well-being benefits.
The garden was funded with money raised for Leicester Hospitals Charity by families and friends of intensive care unit patients.He had been receiving care at Leicester General Hospital following a kidney transplant but was moved when he contracted Covid-19.His mother Tracey Edwards said: “It’s a visible reminder of all the fundraising effort that everyone has been involved in and somewhere to remember Ellis.
