The Rhinos are set to engage in a West Yorkshire derby against the Giants.
Leeds Rhinos will have to make at least three changes ahead of their clash with Huddersfield Giants. Nene Macdonald, James McDonnell and Corey Johnson have all dropped out of Rohan Smith's 21-man squad ahead of their crucial game in the race for the play-offs.
Macdonald has returned to Australia to attend the birth of his child. The Papua New Guinea international, Leeds' top metre maker this season, will be a considerable loss to the side. Compounding that is the absence of back-rower James McDonnell, who has not overcome a back injury he sustained in last week's win over Warrington Wolves. Furthermore, Corey Johnson, who also suffered an injury in the game, is not available, meaning there will be a change in the halves.
Morgan Gannon, Liam Tindall and Alfie Edgell are brought into the squad, providing Smith with alternative options in the back-row, backs and spine respectively. Leeds could end the weekend in the play-offs with victory, subject to other results going their way. Alternatively, defeat would damage their play-off hopes.
